SIR ROBIN KNOX-JOHNSTON
Sailing legend and decorated sailor, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, who made history by becoming the first man to sail solo and non-stop around the globe in 1968-69, is the Co-Founder of Clipper Ventures alongside William Ward.
Since the first edition of the Clipper Race, Sir Robin has overseen each edition of the biennial extreme challenge providing the opportunity for thousands of people to race the world’s oceans previously only accessible to seasoned professionals.
Sir Robin took a step back from the day-to-day running of Clipper Ventures at the end of 2022 but remains an active member of it management board.
