INTRODUCTION
Established in 1995, Clipper Ventures has grown significantly over the past 27 years, with a complementary range of sailing brands within its portfolio that supports pathways for recreational adventurers with no previous sailing experience through to professional seafarers.
Today, Clipper Ventures encompasses our flagship brand the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and our growing pillars; Clipper Events, SKIRR Adventures, Hamble School of Yachting and Clipper China.
CLIPPER EVENTS
Clipper Events is the UK’s premier provider of sailing teambuilding and hospitality, iconic fleet racing and experiential leadership and development training.
Specialists in big-boat sailing, Clipper Events offers competitive action on board fleets of record-breaking Clipper 68 and Clipper 70 yachts. Each event is led by proven, highly experienced professional skippers and crew for industry leading sailing race experiences, team development and corporate sailing hospitality events. Whether competing in iconic industry yacht races against household names or using Clipper Events as a platform for learning and development goals, team building events, for private use, there is a programme of exhilarating sailing regardless of if you are an experienced yachtsperson or have limited sailing experience.
SKIRR Adventures
SKIRR Adventures, offers ‘high-latitude’ sailing expeditions to the Arctic Circle. These exploration sailing voyages are inspired by Founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s sailing trip with fellow explorer Chris Bonington to Greenland’s uninhabited southernmost tip, where they climbed the mountains around Cape Farewell and explored the East Coast pack ice. Whilst there, Sir Robin vowed to return to the High Latitudes and Arctic Ocean to bring the exhilaration of expedition sailing to people of all walks of life.
