Make your resume stand out from the crowd

Picture this – you’re at a job interview with three other people. What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Addressing the crews as they gathered in St George’s Hall, Liverpool at the end of Clipper 07-08, founder of the Clipper Race, legendary solo sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said, “At the end of this race I wanted you to be able to say, that’s the best thing I’ve done with my life – so far.

“I hope this has been the experience you hoped it would be. I hope you’ll continue to sail. And I suppose for many of you there’s a small matter of work to get back to. I hope you’ll go back with very different attitudes. You’ll be able to say I’ve sailed around the world with Clipper now and I can probably do better than I did before. That’s what you’ve taught yourselves.”
