Chairman - Sir Robin Knox-Johnston
Executive Chairman and founder Director of the Company has been involved in sailing all his life holding a Department of Transport Master's Certificate. He holds the record as the first person to sail single-handed round the world non-stop and has also set the record for the fastest circumnavigation.
Added to this he has considerable experience of the administration of round the world races having served on the Whitbread Race Committee from 1990 to 1994 and having organised the BOC Challenge Round the World Race in 1982 and 1986. He has also been a Director of subsidiaries of Taylor Woodrow PLC and The Rank Organisation PLC. Sir Robin has recently completed his latest solo circumnavigation on SAGA Insurance in the VELUX5OCEANS.

Chief Executive - William Ward
William joined Clipper in early 1996, joining forces with Sir Robin at the initial stages of the fleet's production. He has brought to Clipper a commercial background gained in the property investment arena where he successfully ran a number of different companies.
Chief Financial Officer - Jeremy Knight
Jeremy originally joined Clipper Ventures in 2001 after competing in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in 1998. Jeremy was previously with Guinness UK where he was Group Financial Director.
Marketing and Sponsoring Director - David Stubley
David held senior management roles within WPP for over 8 years advising some of the worlds leading brands and rights holders on sport and entertainment strategy. He is also Chairman of sports technology company Tracab and Sportent Ventures.
Non-Executive Director - Bob Dench
Born in 1950, was appointed non-executive director in July 2003. For most of his career he worked at Barclays Plc during which time he spent several years on the Board of the Retail Bank and Private Client businesses. His last appointment, before leaving in 2004 was as the Managing Director of Barclays Investment Management.
He also holds NED positions with Axa plc and the Paragon Group of Companies and mentors the senior team at Troika, a financial services consultancy based in Jermyn Street, London, in respect of its own business strategies. He is a keen amateur sailor.
Non-Executive Director - Edward Vandyk
Edward is the controlling partner in Whim Gully Capital LLP, which is regulated by FSA, and which specialises in advising smaller companies and is a PLUS Corporate Adviser. He was until March 2007 the Chief Executive of Corporate Synergy Group plc (now Blue Oar plc) the AIM quoted investment bank, the operating company of which he founded in 1992. He has extensive experience in the leisure industry as well as working with small quoted companies and is medically qualified and practised as a doctor for a number of years whilst pursuing a parallel career in business, to which he has devoted himself for the last 18 years.
Committees
The Company has established and Audit Committee which receives reports from the Company’s Auditors and reviews the Annual Report and Accounts. The Company has also established a remuneration Committee which reviews all board remuneration and sets the Company’s remuneration policies. The membership of these committees is made up as follows:
